Type 1

This bayonet is "what you think of" when you think 6x4 bayonet. With a monolith blade and tange, and glued on Bakelite pummel.

Type 2

The most distinct characteristic of the type is the 2 small rivets holding the blade together in the middle of the bayonet, along with the molded batch numbers on the pummel and rack numbered to match, marked in electro pencil. Can also have rare factory proof marks, molded into the ridge of pummel.
